Small Cloud Becomes Fade

We are excited to announce that after 7 years under the name ‘Small Cloud’ we are now called ‘Fade’. With the business continuing to grow and the rapid evolution of Audio Visual, Security and Smart Home technologies, we wanted a new brand which would be memorable, and would make us stand out from our competition. ‘Fade’ is an important word in what we do – music fades in and out, lights fade up and down…..

Our core business is providing Homeowners, Architects and Developers, with well-planned, properly installed, beautifully finished and easy to use, Audio Visual, Security and Smart Home systems.

We also offer Audio Visual services to small and medium sized businesses (conference/boardrooms, meeting rooms and public areas), restaurants, pubs and clubs. This includes TV, projectors, sound/lighting systems and video conferencing.

Whilst we supply equipment from many different manufacturers, our core products which we have used since the start are Rako Controls and RTI.

  • Rako is a UK designed and manufactured lighting and blind control system. It provides smooth and reliable control of a variety of lighting types (Halogen, Incandescent, LED, CFL, 0-10v, DALI, DMX). It has a fully wired, maintenance free, version for new builds, and a wireless version for retrofit projects.

  • RTI (Remote Technologies Inc) is a Control and Home Automation platform with a wide range of handheld, desktop and wall-mountable controllers, suitable for both residential and commercial use. It has a 100% customisable user interface, which means that your RTI system can be tailored to your precise needs.

Both Rako and RTI must be professionally installed. We have a wealth of experience, having installed many new systems and we also take on maintenance and repairs of systems installed by others.

We continue to use and promote British brands and local manufacturing where at all possible. As well as Rako Controls based in Kent, we use Monitor Audio based in Essex for loudspeakers and amplifiers, and we use Pulse Eight based in Dorset for audio/video distribution.

I would like to thank you personally for your support over the past few years. Please feel free to contact me directly if you have a possible project in mind, or if you need any more information.

Many thanks,

Michael McDonald
